Monday Challenges – Charles Snyder Raw #42. I have recently had a heated debate with one of those so-called ‘gurus’ on social media. So in a nutshell, he was saying was all you need to succeed is a dream. But I know that having a dream and not acting on it is just wishful thinking.
Focus on your PPAs!
Regardless, I agree that people need to have goals. Also, I agree that they need to have the vision to help propel them forward. But I also know from experience that without the ability to sell, all the lofty dreams in the world will never pay the bills.
Facing my personal hurdles
So in today’s video, I mostly talk about keeping my focus on my goals. Since I had several conflicting obligations at the time, overcoming those hurdles was foremost on my mind. Which leads into me talking about future plans.
However, I have since gotten away from talking about what may or may not happen with my agency. Moving forward I now know that it is better to just work on goals and announce them after they are complete.
Hindsight is 20/20 as I edit and rewrite some of these older articles.
Monday Challenges and solutions
Anyway, the moral of my story is that dreams and visions are a good thing. But without at least developing the ability to sell your dream or vision to others, you have a long, hard road ahead of you. I know this to true and factual, despite what the ‘gurus’ may try to tell you otherwise.
Here’s the way I look at this now; two people run out of gas in their cars along the highway. One driver sits in his car, moping and hating that no one will stop to give him some gas. The other driver does something about his situation, gets out of the car and starts pushing it.
Which one do you think that a passerby will be mostly likely to stop and help? The one sitting in his car and doing nothing about his problem or the one already pushing his car?
The reality is that people will stop to help someone that is already trying to help themselves. Which one do you want to be?
