SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING IN 2020 AND BEYOND
Social Media Marketing can save your business. So with COVID-19, businesses being shut down, and the mainstream media fueling hysteria, you need to take steps to survive. But just surviving is not enough, you still need to grow your business to realize your dreams.
However, for the rest of 2020 and quite possibly for the foreseeable future, stores and shops of all kinds will be in jeopardy. Businesses across the U.S. and around the world are all seeing less foot traffic. So the only way to survive, much less thrive, is to take your business online.
But I’m concerned…
First, a quick question for all of you small business owners, marketers, and entrepreneurs. How many offers did you make yesterday? In other words, how many people did you ask to buy your products or services yesterday?
So if you’re like most (insert your industry here) owners, managers, and marketers, the answer is “not enough.”
And that’s what concerns me so much. Because as the saying goes, “the amount of sales you make is directly related to the number of offers you make.” So if you keep making the same amount of offers today, as you did yesterday, what are your chances of reaching your sales goals today? This week? For the next month? Or even the next year?
Maybe the million-dollar question is, why aren’t you making more offers?

Since 1 March 2020, nearly 100,000 businesses have closed their doors permanently (Source: Yelp Economic Impact Report).

But consumers still need products and services. So the question you need to ask yourself is, what can you do to keep your doors open?

- Contactless services/delivery
- Curbside pickup
However, you still have to let people know you’re still open for business. Also, you definitely need to market and advertise online during this crisis. Because if you want to survive this mess, you have to adapt and you have to keep on finding more customers.
