When my days as a firefighter came to an end, I Lost Everything! As a result I had no job, no income, no place to call home and I was all alone. Additionally, I questioned basically every choice I have ever made in my life. So I did a lot of ugly thinking in those days.
But then I manned up!
Since publishing the first version, Injured Firefighter, I have struggled with revealing this part of my life. Nearly two years of my life were spent in and out of hospitals, racking up tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills. More debt than I have ever had in my life. So during that time my business suffered too as I eventually lost every customers as well.
But I believe we create our own destinies
So I did a lot of reading, listening and thinking when I took a job as a truck driver. I hated it, I dreaded going to work and I despised every second I was there. It made me sick in the stomach just thinking about it to the point where I couldn’t even eat before going to work because of the stress.
But I also knew that I had no choice and that I didn’t have to stay there forever. As a result, I researched and learned everything I could absorb about sales, online marketing and social media. So I did what I had to do and in late 2016, I finally walked away from that truck driving job!
Since then, I have been working on resurrecting my business as an online marketing agency. I have had some successes and I feel like I am just three feet from hitting gold. So I just have to keep digging, producing great content that matters and the final breakthrough will follow.
In summary, I have seen the power of direct response marketing and the transformational effects it can have on people’s lives. In fact, if you are reading this, you most likely found it because of the skill set I am talking about. So that is why I do what I do; it just works!
