You Need A Website – 1 Minute Marketing Tips #4. So I hear from people every so often that so-and-so “guru” says you don’t need one. First of all, nothing could be further from the truth in 2018 and beyond. People EXPECT your business to have at least some sort of basic website.
Secondly, you are either being flat-out lied to or they are seriously misinformed. So either way, give them your money and follow their advice at your own risk. Last but not least, I can tell you that it has never been easier to have your own business blog, etc.
There’s a reason why they’re called “Goo-Ruse”
But I’m not talking about just having a Facebook page or a listing on Yelp, here’s why…
Having a few web pages with a domain name is your central hub for all online marketing. And I’m talking about your own website, not something on Wix, Blogger, Blogspot or WordPress.com. In fact, I just created Increasing Blog Traffic – Charles Snyder Raw #104, addressing this very issue. However, I will tell you this; simply having a website is not enough.
Of course this also ties right in with Domain-Based Business Email – 1 Minute Marketing Tips #3, that I published last week. So I can also share with you that having your own domain name has more than one advantage! Since any Content Management System (CMS) like WordPress makes it extremely easy to manage a website, it’s a no-brainer. If you can use Microsoft Word, you can also easily use WordPress too.
What are you waiting for?
There’s really no excuse for delaying anymore, but you probably know this. You can register and purchase a domain name through services like GoDaddy. Better still, the domain names are pretty cheap and there are a lot of options for website hosting. So if your customers are anything like me, they’re skeptical of any business that doesn’t have a website!
