Freaking Out About Facebook
Freaking Out About Facebook
Freaking Out About Facebook – Charles Snyder Raw #45. So today, when I woke up, I thought maybe the insanity would simmer down by now. All I can say is wow, was I wrong! People are still losing their damn marbles all over social media.

It’s ludicrous!
On a personal note, I find it astonishing that normally fairly intelligent people simply take the news at face value. They do no research of their own and panic at the drop of a hat when someone else tells them to. Hell, to be honest with you, I did too until I grew up and began asking questions.
Time to adult-up
Anyway, today I share some more insights about the entire mess. I am following up on an article that I posted in our private, Marketing Ninja Group on FB. I am also following on the last two articles and videos about the same subject.
In case you didn’t see them, check them out here:
Which brings us to my whole point for this episode and the previous two. Before you lose your mind and delete your Facebook account, learn the facts. Not everyone posting there has all of the pertinent information. Nor have they thought the ramifications through.
Freaking Out About Facebook vs. the truth
Look, I have to be honest with you, this entire circus is a giant nothing-burger. The company in question followed the rules that Facebook has laid down. That does not equate to a data breach of any sort.
Furthermore, the data that was gathered can only be used with Facebook’s Business Manager for running ads. How does that even come close to being some sort of massive leak of personal information? It isn’t!
Last but not least, nobody is even talking about Google and YouTube. But hey, if it means that some of the douchey ads on Facebook will go away, don’t tell them the truth. I at least will enjoy the lower ad costs.
