We are now one month into the near year. How are your New Year’s resolutions going? Are you meeting your sales goals for the month? Will you be on target for your sales goals for the 1st Quarter? What about for the rest of the year?
What will you do about it?
Usually, in November/December, a lot of business gurus are talking about what you should be doing in the coming year. How you should be setting your goals for your business, your money, and your life. But very few of them ever talk about how to stay on task or how to keep your motivation strong for more than a few weeks.
However, one thing I found is that the motivation often comes AFTER I start working on something. Not before. So I am also fairly certain that I am not the only one.
Creating motivation all year long
As I just admitted above, finding motivation can be as easy as making success a habit. One such example is by just working on whatever it is that needs improvement and sooner or later the motivation shows up. This is exactly what I found when I began working on a project I have been putting off for some time.
You see, about 13 months ago, I knew we would need to update our old Vivid Vision. Because it was for 2020 and I have been procrastinating re-writing it ever since. But that all changed last week.
Regardless, even though we are missing one of our goals for this month, that doesn’t mean we are going to quit on the rest of 2022. Far from it!
January 2022 Updates: accomplishments so far this year
First, as we just said above, our Vivid Vision required updating. I found the motivation to make it happen AFTER I began working on it. So in about six days, I completely re-wrote the document, put it on our website. and went back to working on some other stuff.

Also, I had to revisit another concept I talk about often; perfection is deception. Specifically, I am referring to our newest page about another one of our services, SMS Text Messaging. It still needs some work and a video. But a services page needing some additions is better than no services page at all.
January 2022 Updates: looking ahead
Our biggest miss so far this year is that we are still working on ROI Ninjas University. Also, that means that we still need to finish working on the accompanying article for the big release. But this isn’t due to trying it make it perfect, rather more of a case of just not having enough time in the day. So we are pushing the launch date back to late March 2022.
We will cover this topic in-depth as it develops, so more coming soon.
