2 – What PII do we collect and why
Personally Identifiable Information or PII is only collected when a website visitor submits information via one of our forms or by email. When visitors leave comments on our site or landing pages, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public along with your comment.
So in other words, the only PII we collect is what you submit.
3 – Contact Form
When visitors use our contact forms, we collect the data shown in the contact form as well as the IP address to help with spam detection.
Data you submit on the form such as your email address or phone number is later used to contact you in regards to your message if needed. So your data is stored securely and may only be used later for sending you related information and/or promotions.
4 – Privacy Policy: Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for exactly one year.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. For example, many of our articles also include embedded videos from YouTube.
These third-party websites may collect data about you, use cookies, and embed additional third-party tracking. And they may monitor your interaction with that embedded content. This includes tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
6 – Privacy Policy: Analytics
Our website uses several solutions for tracking website usage anonymously and does not store any of your personal information. Details such as IP address, country, web browser, screen resolution, etc. are collected. Other data such as where you visited our site from, what pages you view, and how long you view them are also collected anonymously.
Since we also heavily utilize social media, some personal data may be tracked and captured if you are logged into any of those sites. So this information may be used in developing audience insights as well as for our marketing purposes.
7 – Who do we share your data with
In summary, no one!
By default, we do not share your data with anyone at any time for any reason. Unless we are compelled to do so for legal matters. However, all financial transaction data is securely handled via payment gateways by private third-party service providers.
Additionally, we will not sell, rent, or otherwise distribute your PII knowingly or willingly at any time for any reason.
8 – How long we retain your PII
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. So the same also applies to anyone using our contact form or any of our landing page forms.
For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except you cannot change your username). Only website administrators can access, see, and edit that information.
For users that register for our newsletters, premium content, or services, we also store the personal data indefinitely. However, each recipient may elect to remove themselves from such lists at any time.

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
