Tired In Santa Barbara
Tired In Santa Barbara
Tired In Santa Barbara – Charles Snyder Raw #26. Maybe the title should be ‘Not Enough Sleep’ or even ‘Everything Is Broken’ in California. But aside from me complaining about not getting enough rest, I do share some good, relevant experiences with my laptop not working. Make sure you protect your tech as best you can when traveling.

I need more nappy time!
Since I have had issues with it ever since I got here, I know sharing my experience will help others. Because let’s face it, when we’re on the road, we still need to keep in touch with our business. However, I was able to finally fix my laptop by the end of the day.
Luckily, we didn’t get as much rain last night
One good thing is that we didn’t have as much rain over night as was in the forecast. As a result, there was no evacuation last night and I did not have to move the unit to another area. So I was able to sleep for almost six hours last night, which is the most I have had so far.
But more importantly, I will now be able to focus on getting correcting the issues with my laptop. Since I did not have to uproot my operation and move to another, safer area. However, I’m not even really sure how long I will be here.
Tired In Santa Barbara, but…
So how much longer I end up working here is up to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or simply USACE. Once they complete their mission, there will no longer be a need for me to be here too. But I have to play that one by ear for now and wait to see how things come together for the rest of the week.
Anyway, the whole moral of this story for the past few days is that I was ready for the worst. My laptop took a crap, but I have the tools and software needed to completely restore it. But the problem is that some of the videos I loaded from my camera to the laptop have been lost.
And that just sucks!
