Take Imperfect Action – Charles Snyder Raw #10. Today I discuss the need to DO SOMETHING in order to create progress. Since I have found that there is no perfect time to start my marketing or make sales calls. But it needs to be done none the less.
Just get it done!
It’s kind of like I have learned that there is no perfect time to start making my videos and blogging for my business. Simply stated, I have yet to find a perfect time to do just about anything for my business. As a result, I have found over the years that I have to make the time.
I’ve actually gone over some of this already in Make Stuff Happen – Charles Snyder Raw #5. So to be honest with you, if I may, there’s rarely a perfect time for just about anything. Since waiting for the perfect time produces no results, we have to work.
We have to do something in order to make anything happen. And some times that takes a Hell of a lot longer than we like it to.
“Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.”
William Butler Yeats
When I read that quote, I understand that “iron” represents opportunities. In other words, do not wait for opportunities to happen, create your own opportunities. You create your opportunities by repeatedly striking that “iron” over and over again until it gets hot.
Take Imperfect Action to build some traction!
Here’s the way I look at it and work around my imperfections. Somewhere, somehow I have come to realize that the best way is to dive right in and just do it. So the same applies to me making videos and creating new marketing campaigns, etc.
None of my videos are perfect and there is always something I would like to go back and change or do differently. But I take action now and make progress, that’s the whole idea. So you have to take immediate action in order to build momentum.
However, if I waited for perfection, I would never get anything done! None of my articles and videos would ever be published. So I have to do something now to make some traction and that means just doing the work.
The same applies to you and your business. So don’t wait, don’t hesitate and don’t make any more excuses. ‘Git er done!’
