More On Toastmasters
More On Toastmasters – Charles Snyder Raw #18. Yesterday I was talking about my experiences with Toastmasters International. In Practice Public Speaking – Charles Snyder Raw #17, I talk about my overall experience with Toastmasters. So today I share some more thoughts about the program and how it applies to many aspects of a business.

It’s a practice thing!
Anyway, in my video I touch upon a few basics that becoming a better communicator can help. For example, public speaking is the obvious one, but it also helps when you’re one-on-one. So just as importantly, it can help you on the phone, in front of a camera or just writing in general.
I’m seriously considering joining again
My time in Toastmasters was both fun and productive. I really enjoyed the meetings which were only about an hour in length. But even more important, at least for me, I got to practice public speaking as well as getting feedback on my speeches.
So let me just say that getting supportive feedback in real-time is priceless! Everyone was there to learn and improve, so getting unbiased reviews helps tremendously. I grew so much as a presenter, leader, and salesman during those sessions.
I will definitely look into rejoining one of the local clubs!
More On Toastmasters, for the most part
OK, I tried to go on to other topics such as what I’m working on, but even that came back to Toastmasters. I’m not getting paid to promote them nor do I get any kickbacks. I just enjoyed my time there and found it to be extremely useful.
But don’t just take my word for it, there are many chapters all over the U.S. and the world. Do a local search for them, contact the organizer and tell them that you want to come sit in on a meeting. And do just that to see what it’s all about.
As a result, I believe that you will find it to be time well spent.
