I Think I’m Sick
I Think I’m Sick
I Think I’m Sick – Charles Snyder Raw #36. Today I feel like crap. I’m feeling cold, achy, and I have a splitting headache. But so what, I have a business to run and things won’t get done if I don’t work. So maybe I’ll do some work and then take a rest this afternoon.

I feel yucky!
In other words, these videos don’t edit themselves. These articles don’t write themselves either. In fact, there is a long list of things that simply won’t be done if I skip a day. And I’m sure there are a lot of other business owners that are in the same situation.
Some semi-coherent thoughts
So I’m warning you, I ramble on for a bit in the video today. But I do make it clear that I am happy its Friday. Not that the weekend means squat to small business owners.
Anyway, the takeaway here is that many owners of small businesses are in the same boat. If you don’t show up for work today, who’s running your business? Who’s making the sales, servicing the customers, and delivering on expectations?
I said it before; if you don’t have someone on your staff with that job title, it’s your job as the owner. In other words, if you don’t have someone in your organization with the job title of janitor, guess who the janitor is.
I Think I’m Sick, but I’ll do some work anyway
Regardless, I am working on getting a few things done today and this afternoon I’ll rest. But with that in mind, I have a few questions for you. Specifically, what is your contingency plan if you get sick or injured and are unable to work?
