Eliminating Business Distractions – Charles Snyder Raw #4. Today I thought a good topic would be talking about demands on our attention. And if you are anything like me, I face more than a few of them. So what I mean is that as entrepreneurs, owners, CEOs and CMOs, there can be a lot of distractions.
I have ADOS!
By distractions I mean those things in life and business that tug at our attention. Since we all face them at one time or another, sometimes even multiple times each day. In fact, I talk about a major distraction for a lot of business owners I know and how I try to avoid the same fate.
Oh yeah, today ties in very well with my first episode, Staying Focused – Charles Snyder Raw #1. Where I also talk about everything that is vying for my focus throughout the day.

So today’s video runs a little longer than most because I first talk about some distractions I’m facing. And then I show some of the work that goes into my business. Specifically, I talk about how I almost got sucked into a huge distraction and how I caught myself.
As a result, it clicked in my mind when I thought about how that activity would fit into my Vivid Vision. Or closer to the truth, how it wouldn’t fit into my business and it was really just a distraction. Since it would be a big, time-consuming project that wouldn’t yield any profits.
Problem solved; I didn’t allow myself to get sucked in. So I then go on to talk about some other distractions I am facing and what I am doing about it.
But there’s a deeper meaning to all of this
More importantly, I show you some behind the scenes work that I do and it’s the first time I have shared this with anyone. But even that is just a drop in the proverbial ‘ocean’ and more on that later. I have a lot of work to do today and I don’t want to get into any distractions.
So the moral of my story today is to always think about how something fits into the greater scheme of your business. If it isn’t profit-producing for you, get rid of it. Focus on what really grows your business. Remove the things that don’t help you make more sales.
