Backlink Building Secrets

Backlink Building Secrets

Backlink Building SecretsCharles Snyder Raw #108.  Since I do not have anything, in particular, to talk about today, I decided to take another question from our audience.  So I looked over all the requests on Quora and picked out an interesting question. What could be better for the day after Independence Day?

Backlink Building Secrets - Charles Snyder Raw #108: It's unscripted, unplanned and uncooked!

The big secret is that, there is no secret…

Here’s what Rick asked us to answer:

“What is the best technique for building backlinks?”

Rick

I have three major recommendations for you

That is a great question Rick, thanks for asking. But I’m going to dig deeper and get to the root of the problem. Here are some thoughts I would like to share with you.

Recommendation #1:

So the first thing that stood out for me was as I was reviewing the 50+ answers; nobody talked about content except briefly.  I mean some of them hinted at creating content and I think I remember seeing one or two put some emphasis on it.  But none of those people answering highlighted content creation first or as the primary “secret” ingredient for link-building.

Here are my biggest recommendation and a fair warning. Building links to your website with little or no content is a lot of work! Because without content, what are you linking to? What is going to draw in search engine spiders, much less traffic when you have little or no content?

Recommendation #2:

Secondly, no one mentioned the importance of blogging on a regular basis and the positive effects it has.  Your content is what search engine spiders use to catalog and list your website.  If you have little or no content, you get listed way down in the results if at all.

So that can adversely affect the number of backlinks you get. Also, links to little or no content get a poor quality score. Since links with low-quality scores count for very little, they can adversely affect your overall website score too.

Recommendation #3:

Third and final point I will make here is this.  Without content on your website, why would people even want to link to your website?  You won’t get backlinks magically just because you have a website or some cool product or service.  Your content is the foundation that you build all of your backlinks on.

Backlink Building Secrets: in summary

So you want a good, solid foundation (of content) to build upon and the rest will come much easier. Because without it, you have nothing for the search engines to give you a good SEO score. Additionally, without written content, how are people supposed to learn more about your products or services?

PLEASE NOTE: I no longer answer questions like Backlink Building Secrets on Quora.  There are no checks and balances in place for the rampant censorship by some moderators.  And to make matters worse, inquiries about the anonymous censorship that goes on there have yet to see any reply.  Since that is the case, I will continue to help others, I just won’t be wasting my time on that website.  So Say Goodbye Quora!
