Backlink Building Secrets – Charles Snyder Raw #112. Since I do not have anything in particular to talk about today, I decided to take another question from the audience. So I looked over all the requests on Quora and picked out an interesting question. What could be better for the day after Independence Day?
The big secret is that there is no secret…
Here’s what Rick asked us to answer:
“What is the best technique for building backlinks?”
That is a great question Rick, thanks for asking. Here are some thoughts I would like to share with you.
I have three major points for you
So the first thing that stood out for me was as I was reviewing the 50+ answers; nobody really talked about content. I mean some of them hinted at content and I think I remember seeing one or two mention it. But none of those people answering really emphasized content creation first or as the primary “secret” ingredient for link-building. So be warned, building links to your website with little or no content is a lot of work!
Secondly, no one mentioned the importance of blogging on a regular basis and the positive effects it has. Your content is what search engine spiders use to catalog and list your website. If you have little or no content, you get listed way down in the results if at all. And that can adversely affect the number of baclinks you get.
So my third and final point I will make here is this. Without content on your website, why would people even want to link to your website? You won’t get backlinks magically just because you have a website or some cool product or service. Your content is the foundation on which you build backlinks. So you want a good, solid foundation to build upon and the rest will come much easier.
PLEASE NOTE: I no longer answer questions like Backlink Building Secrets on Quora. There are no checks and balances in place for the rampant censorship by some moderators. And to make matters worse, inquiries about the anonymous censorship that goes on there have yet to see any reply. Since that is the case, I will continue to help others, I just won’t be wasting my time on that website. So Say Goodbye Quora!
