Facebook Kills Organic Reach
Facebook Kills Organic Reach
Facebook Kills Organic Reach – 5 Minutes With Charles #40. Have you heard the news? Are you keeping up with all of the latest buzz about posting on FB or even some other social media platforms? Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and many more business publications are all talking about it.

Is it time to panic?
You can find one article after another about the recent “surprising” move made by social media giant, Facebook. However, people are still in shock and some are even starting to panic. But even once the initial shock and dismay have worn off, small business owners are wondering how they are going to get traffic now.
Yeah, so what!
First of all, let’s all just realize that there is some good news and some bad news in all of this. So like a lot of other things in business, there is more than one way of looking at this change. Because the only thing consistent about marketing your business online is that sooner or later, everything will change.
With that being said, the bad news is that a lot of people (your potential customers), could see as many as 15,000 new posts a day in their news feed. So that also means that your posts about your latest and greatest offer ever are being lost in the avalanche of mediocre marketing. And people are getting tired of it as well as simply ignoring most if not all new items in their feed.
But the good news is that it won’t be that hard or expensive to reach your audience now. You’ll just have to reach them with some paid advertising. So here’s some more good news; out of 16 million-plus businesses on Facebook, only about 41% are active and roughly 13% actually run ads.
