80 Days of Hell – 5 Minutes With Charles #36. After nearly three months of working the Hurricane Harvey disaster in Texas, I am back home. During my time there I was working long hours. And I had far too little sleep.
Sleep, what’s that?!
Also, while I was there, I did not have any time off, working seven days a week. But I was also working 14+ hours every day. So I was working on this schedule for the entire time I was on deployment in the Rockport, Corpus Christi, and Beaumont, TX areas.
Delays and more delays
While the great state of Texas is on the mend again, I am back home making stuff happen. However, I am in dire need of some downtime and catch back up on some sleep. Because I am exhausted to put it rather bluntly.
But while I was there, I did take the time to talk to as many local business owners as time would permit. So I discuss in the video, in some detail, what a business needs to do to recover from a disaster. Additionally, most of this information also applies to surviving the COVID-19 mess.
Anyway, the biggest problem when I get a deployment, I don’t have a whole lot of spare time. But I do make it a point to keep an eye on our client’s ads and online advertising. Because that is way more important than creating content for our articles and videos.
80 Days of Hell: recovering from Hell
So while I’ve been taking it easy for the past two weeks, I’ve also had the of my agency in mind. Like where we’re at, where we want to go, and so on. Also, making business plans for 2019 too.
However, thinking about it and doing something about it are two different things. So it’s time to switch gears back to making shit happen. Recovery time is over, so now it’s back to Digital Marketing!
