Marketing Agency Red Flags
Charles Snyder Raw #134 – Marketing Agency Red Flags. So today I am reaching back into the mailbag and taking another question from the audience. And I think it’s a pretty good question too because I haven’t seen very many people talking about it. Here’s today’s question:
“What are some red flags when dealing with a marketing agency?” – Jeff Z.
Thank you for the question Jeff! First let me say that there are a lot of potential red flags when dealing with a marketing agency. In fact I am going to share with you several high-priority ones, but it all comes down to you. You will need to do your research and the more familiar you are with terminology, the better. In other words, the responsibility is on you to do your due diligence.
So here are some critical points to consider any time you are thinking about hiring a marketing agency:
- Does the marketing agency practice what they want you to pay them for? WordStream has been conducting surveys of marketing agencies for the past few years. Surprisingly, the results of those surveys show that most agencies spend less than 25% of their time finding new customers. However the majority of those agencies (76%) are worried about having enough income to stay open for business. Can you say huge red flag?
- Is the marketing agency able to provide solid facts and figures to back up their hype? Men lie, women lie, but numbers always tell the truth. Any marketer that avoids them also deserves to be avoided! There’s more to the truth than just Cost Per Click and Cost Per Lead.
- Does the marketing agency have a domain-based email? ImmaDaBestestMarketer@Yahooey.con-artist = FAIL!
I mention even more Marketing Agency Red Flags in the video…
